Buffalo Bill's Lions - Phil Nguyen

After a long hard day of packing food boxes, jumping into dumpsters, and Gavin spraying me with a hose we finally made it back to church. After our gracious dinner team labored making Papa John’s pizza, we headed off to Buffalo Bill’s supposed grave. With multitudes of poses and some amazing arches we finished paying our respects to Mr. Bill. We embarked on our roughest journey yet soon after. As we approached the church, we had one thought in mind and one only. Sonic. The time count was 20 minutes. With 10 minutes to Sonic and a 3-minute drive to church, we only had 7 minutes to order, get our food, and leave. Sara told us lions would eat us if we took any longer than 6 minutes, lions would come. I didn’t see any, but I believe her. As we waited anxiously knowing the lions and Cheryl (our site coordinator) were after, our food came out. Each person grabbing their goods, the cars were packed, and we were off. Speeding down the road with too many Subarus to count and 3 cops texting and driving, we made it back to church. Late as we were, it seemed we were safe. No limb was lost, and Cheryl wasn’t anywhere in sight. Mission accomplished.
