A couple of photos from our Saturday, Sunday and Monday...

Photos have, unfortunately, been a bit sparse so far. We hope to change that starting tomorrow. In the mean time, enjoy a couple of these photos.

Sunday morning - headed to the Jelly Belly Factory (the tour has recently been completely redone!)

In-N-Out on our way to San Leandro...they always do an amazing job of keeping all of it organized and being so fast!

Tonight, for our evening activity, we visited Faith Baptist Church in Oakland. (I'll try to post photos of our site tomorrow...)

Pastor Curtis Robinson spoke to us about the chaotic world we live in, the often chaotic streets of Oakland and how Jesus interrupts the chaos. An example was given from Mark, where Jesus heals a man in the synogogue with demons that had invaded him. He does not rebuke the man, but rather interrupts the chaos in his life and commands the demons out saying "Peace! Be Still!" Jesus' words show His authority and power over all. When we are facing our own struggles, demons or issues, we should become peacemakers - embracing conflict and solving it with the tools of God's Word. When we do, He is glorified.

Sara's crew by the GIANT name tag ball at the Alameda Food Bank today. (No photos yet from Tim/June's crew as we weren't allowed to do photos today...)

Thank you for your continued prayers! Can't wait to share more of our adventures with you soon!

  2. I love all the pictures! Thank you for posting them. I am intrigued by what Pastor Curtis said regarding conflict and being peacemakers. I look forward to hearing more about it from the youth. Praying for you all!
