Slug's Log from 7/17 - Sofia Aguilar

 

               My group consists of Anna, Rachel, Patrick, and myself, and our group name is called the Elk Meadow. Tomorrow is going to be roughly 94-100 degrees and my group is going to be outside painting a house…. For about six hours. Initially we were to wear pants but there is some leniency to be able to wear shorts (I would rather get paint on my legs than on my legGINGS. My expectations for this upcoming four days with other church groups is to make some connections that will hopefully last longer than this trip. There have been a few trips where we keep in contact for about a year, and it was always fun to be able to see what the others were doing in their separate lives from Tennessee and Michigan and stuff. I just hope that happens here even if the other church groups aren’t too social yet but… our group will definitely change that.
