This is my first mission trip and going into it the thing
that everyone complained about the most and told me was the worst was the food.
With everyone telling me how bad the food was I got a little scared that I was
going to hate all the food and end up starving. The first night we had dinner
and it was actually really good and I started to worry less. Breakfast lunch
and dinner was all good and nothing was too bad. Then on Tuesday at lunch I had
my lunch and it was the best thing I had ever ate in my life and I swear it
changed my life and ever since that day every lunch tasted so good. It was the
best thing in the world and I felt like my lunch was being blessed and made by
God. I am really sad to go home and have lunch because I am scared it will not
be as good as the sandwiches made by God.
The projects I have done on the mission trips have been really
fun and have gave me really good experiences. I have worked at an organization
that helps with the homeless and low income called open hands. It was really
cool to get to meet everyone and serve them food and give them clothes. The
second place I got to work was the nursing home and that was very interesting.
At the nursing home I had a lot of fun conversations with a lot of laughs some
conversations nicer than others. Because I used to live with my grandma and
having my grandpa die of Alzheimer’s the nursing home felt very nice and easy.
I'm so proud of you, Anna! Great work!
