As mission trips go, I can't imagine they could get any better. Although this was my first and last mission trip, I can honestly say that this is one for the books. I got to meet a lot of people and get closer to other people that I already knew. I got into the car leaving for this trip nervous and not knowing what to expect. It was exciting and scary at the same time, but being nervous wasn't needed. I love the fact that I got to serve and help people in Minnesota even though the weather was terrible!
I got the honor of working at the Dorothy Day center which helps homeless and low income people. I got to meet new
people that volunteer and work there out of the kindness of their heart which
was a really cool thing. It was nice and really cool being able to help people
out and serve them a really good meal and I mean really good, after we were
done serving people lunch we got to enjoy it ourselves and man was it good. Throughout
the trip I got to feel the presence of Jesus which was a first for me and because
of Sara, Tim, Scott, and Zach, I have felt Jesus and have grown to love them and
the church.
