Meals, Cleaning and Being Clean - Grant

Today at our site, we first delivered meals through the Salvation Army to low income people with a nice man named Joseph. My group and I, despite the smell of urine throughout area, delivered meals all throughout the Tenderloin district of San Francisco by walking from apartment to apartment delivering meal by meal. Than after the meals were all delivered we went back to the Salvation Army building and had lunch and shortly after we were called to do our next task! This task included sweeping and moping the warehouse floor than we were on to the next task. Our next task consisted of pouring shampoo into little bottles for little travel / shower kits! And after the day was over the best thing happened…………. After 3 days of no showers………. WE GOT TO SHOWER!!!! I think day one in San Francisco was a success towards their city! Grant
