Pleasing Him - Grant

On Monday, all the people who were in my crew went to a lady’s house who was in her 80’s and gave her a big surprise!  We painted her house for free through a non-profit organization called Brothers Restoration. It was VERY hot! The weather there was in the upper 90’s with little to no cloud cover. Something that made me feel really great was when I was on a ladder painting the upper part of the house, the lady came out and told me that this was the best surprise she had ever had! I smiled, and at that moment I realized I wasn’t doing it for money, I wasn’t doing it to please others, but I was doing it for one person only, God. I knew in my heart that it was making Jesus very happy. That is why I love coming on mission trips! This is my 4^th year and I plan to go till my senior year. I can’t wait to help others this week and please God!
